I was invited to go camp at Sines for the world music festival by my Portuguese friends. Before that one long night we went to a nearby beach where I had never seen so many other like-minded young people congregated in one place before.

I got offered to go to the Lisbon Pride parade by my online Portuguese tutor, Atlas, who I had never yet met in person. It was the largest protest I've seen. I liked how it went right through Baixa which felt like the most commercial part of the city
