    Seashore Effigy (2025) - Nikon F3 Ilford HP5 Plus

I'm not sure what this guy's role is. He sits overlooking the Nantucket Sound from Oregon beach. I guess you should leave him an offering to protect the community from erosion, maybe. Over the last few years he has accumulated more and more seashells and stones that his bounty has spread into the bordering parking lot.

    Buoys (2025) - Nikon F3 Kodak Ultramax 400

My dad likes to collect rogue flotsam buoys he finds in the ocean and brings them back and hangs them on the house.

    Ozark Beauty (2023) - Nikon D60

Trust me, he does not know how to garden... it became harder and harder for me to maintain my garden the more time I spent during the Summer at work and later studying in Portugal

    Big Steps (2023) - Nikon D60

    Taco (2022) - Pentax IQZoom928 Fujifilm 400

This was a neighborhood cat named taco who was 17!! She liked to visit our house sometimes, here she is in a hydrangea bush.

    Waves (2022) - Pentax IQZoom928 Fujifilm 400

    Horshoe Crabs (2022) - Pentax IQZoom928 Fujifilm 400

Two horshoe crabs doing some uhhhm... this only happens during new or full moons which is pretty cool that they understand astronomy

Papou At Breakfast (2025) - Nikon F3 Kodak Ultramax 400

I really like this photo. It's at my grandparent's home after I made breakfast one morning. I like how delicately he's holding the newspaper.

    Kent's Point (2025) - Nikon F3 Kodak Ultramax 400

    View from my Grandparents's back poarch (2022) - Pentax IQZoom928 Fujifilm 400

My grandparents's told me stories about hurricane Bob which had damaged some of these trees

    Wellfleet

Fin Whale Skull Great Island, Wellfleet (2025) - Nikon F3, Ilford HP5

How do I know that this specifically is a fin whale skull? It is not because I'm a great osteologist. This fin whale washed up 4 years prior and I had unexpectedly came across it the first time I went to Great Island in February 2022. I was thinking that it would've been completely buried by now. I'm not sure where the rest of the bones may have went. I'd think that the tide had taken most of the bones away (#taphonomic processes) and just left the skull, or maybe some people took them home as souveniers. One of the trail infographics mentions that Wellfleet bay used to have hundreds of whales visiting and that you could see them from shore. If whales are possibly at 1% of their former population just think how frequently you would have seen them, the ocean would have been practically full of whales.

Great Island Looking South (2022) - Pentax IQZoom928 Fujifilm 400

This is one of my favorite views, you're ontop of this large bluff overlooking the rest of Great Island and further out can see the bending arm of the Cape.

    Overlook (2022) - Pentax IQZoom928 Fujifilm 400

    Low Tide (2022) - Pentax IQZoom928 Fujifilm 400

This is from the August between my senior year of highschool and freshman year of college. I had never seen this shellfishing strategy before. I'm assuming this guy was collecting oysters and then waiting for the high tide to come in to take the boat back out

    Mashpee

    High Tide Marsh (2024) - Nikon D60

    P-Town

    P-Town alley (2025) - Nikon F3, Ultramax 400

Provincetown is likely the only place in the world where you can find a Portuguese, Jamaican and Pride flag all flying on the same street. This alley is next to the Lobster Pot, and these bikes likely belong to some of the J-1s that go between their motels and then their 12-hour kitchen shifts that keep the whole town afloat in the summer.

Race Point Ranger Station (2022) - Pentax IQZoom928 Fujifilm 400

    Massachusetts

Massachusetts is the large interior land mass that is attached to Cape Cod via the Bourne & Sagamore bridges

    Bus Photo (2022) - Pentax IQZoom928 Fujifilm 400

The school was taking us up to Boston for senior week. As I write 4 years later about some of these photos I still think this is my favorite. This was really the last event we'd all be tethered to one place. I think what makes a really great photo is that it is not just aesthetically pleasing but can also tell a story. Taken on the eve of our graduation, a very ambiguous time, I think this delicate scene was a glimpse of some reassurance.

    EJ Behind Fenway (2022) - Pentax IQZoom928 Fujifilm 400

This is before we went to a clairo show lol at the house of blues
